MB Partners are delighted to announce that 19-year-old Dutch racing talent Bent Viscaal has signed with the management agency ahead of his FIA Formula 3 round at Silverstone.
Viscaal joins MB Partners with an impressive racing CV at his young age, including achieving the accolade of vice-champion in the EuroFormula Open Championship last year. Prior to that, Bent had a successful debut year in single-seaters, where he impressed in Formula 4 Spain and Formula 4 NEZ.
2019 has seen Bent make the step up to FIA Formula 3, where the series forms a part of the support package for Formula 1. Racing on the world's biggest stage, Bent has got off to a strong start. He scored HWA RACELAB’s first points of the season, by coming home fifth in the first race at Paul Ricard, France.
Last year in EuroFormula Bent shone, showing a vast amount of talent as he showcased his skills in his maiden campaign in the series. Bent took the rookie honours in all but two of the races and racked up a staggering 12 overall podiums over the 16 races - including a hat trick victory at Silverstone where he secured pole, the win and fastest lap.
In his debut year in single-seaters in 2017, Bent stood on the podium a spectacular 13 times in Spanish F4 and amassed a total of five victories. His time in that championship saw him contest at Spain’s most prestigious race tracks, as well as making the trip to France and Portugal for two rounds.
Also in 2017, Bent competed in another form of F4 - Formula 4 NEZ, where he also earned the title of vice-champion. Bent impressed on his debut in the series as he secured three wins, and made eight trips to the podium in the 21-race calendar.
Prior to his single-seater career, Bent boasts a successful karting career which included being crowned champion of the German Junior Kart Championship in 2015 and enjoyed further success on the European and world stage.
Currently competing in the third year of his single-seater career, Bent is excited to work with MB Partners as he looks to further develop his racing career.
“I am delighted to be joining MB Partners,” Bent said. “I am looking forward to the partnership ahead and seeing what we can achieve together. This year is a big challenge for me and my career, but I am excited to see what the future holds for 2019 and beyond.
“Mark has a fantastic CV and is extremely well respected in the motorsport world. His experience and knowledge is fundamental to me making my way through the ranks and I am looking forward to learning from him and all of the team at MB Partners.”
CEO of MB Partners, Mark Blundell, said: “Bent has a very bright future ahead of him and we are all so pleased to welcome him to our exciting stable of drivers. Bent has already shown a lot of potential in only two short years that he has been racing single-seaters and he is definitely one to watch in the years to come!”
MB Partners’ Motorsport Manager Barry Mears added: “Having Bent join us here at MB Partners is another great addition to our driving stable. We are all really looking forward to working with him and it is really exciting to see how he will get on this year in Formula 3.”
